M82. 1 hour minutes at f/10, composited with another shot of 15 minutess
at f/10, both through the 12''LX200 on the equatorial pier. Manually guided.
Shot on unhypered LE400. The film was scanned at 1400 dpi and while the
picture is cropped, it hasn't been scaled. The two shots were averaged
using Registar. I had to run a median filter before Registar was able to
register. While not making a big difference, the composite shows a nicer
contrast. The starts are a little elongated in the E-W direction. I guess
my sample rate when guiding (about 20 seconds) wasn't high enough.
